Entry Guidelines
6 mile Little Wheels Ride:
For kids aged 5+ accompanied by at least one adult aged 18+ (14″+ wheel recommended)
Suitable for tagalongs and child seats. Even had a balance bike in the past!
14 mile Family Ride:
For kids aged 8+ accompanied by at least one adult aged 18+ (20″+ wheel recommended)
Again, suitable for tagalongs and child seats.
19 mile Teen Spirit Ride:
For kids aged 12+ accompanied by at least one adult aged 18+ (24″+ wheel recommended)
25 mile Leisure Ride:
For adults aged 18+ (26″+ wheel recommended)
35 mile Endurance Ride:
For adults aged 18+ (26″+ wheel recommended)
All children’s ages are meant as a guide and are probably on the conservative side. You will know your child’s abilities better than us!

*The Little Wheels ride is free to any rider registered on another ride. You do not have to enter yourself again.
- Example 1: A group registered on the Family ride in the morning may participate in the Little Wheels ride in the afternoon.
- Example 2: A parent registered on the Leisure ride may join the rest of their family registered on the Little Wheels ride.
Limited Entries
For your safety and enjoyment, rider numbers are limited to 200 per ride. In the past several rides have sold out before the event, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Bookings on the day are subject to availability. There will also be a £5 surcharge on all Adult entries.
Non-riding Adults
For non-riding adults there is now a £5 “Music Only” ticket available to help cover the costs associated with the live music. Children remain free of charge . These may be added to your cart for purchase from here.
How to complete the Entry Form
If booking a group ride (Little Wheels, Family, or Teen Spirit), please add the additional riders within your group via the plus icon on the form ().
If booking a solo ride (Leisure or Endurance), only one rider may be entered at a time.
When you submit your entry, you will be taken to a page displaying your entry details and amount due. If you are happy to proceed you can then add your entry to the PayPal shopping basket.
Within the shopping basket you can either add additional entries (Group or Solo) or if ready, checkout via PayPal. Payment is by credit/debit card or your PayPal account if you have one.

Terms & Conditions of Sale
- Your booking is not complete until you have paid in full. Payment must be made via the PayPal payment service provided on our website www.uptonogood.org.uk;
- Confirmation of payment will be via email direct from PayPal;
- Confirmation of rider booking will be via email from us to the address(es) supplied in the booking form (please ensure these addresses are correct);
- Should the event be cancelled, a refund will be provided if the “Refund” option is selected above. If “Donate” is selected, the monies will be distributed to “good causes”. In either case the amount will be net of any PayPal administration fees;
- No rider will be permitted to participate in the event until they or their legal guardian has accepted the Terms & Conditions of Participation set out below (each rider/rider group will receive an email from us with a link to the Terms & Conditions of Participation for acceptance);
- I fully accept and agree that neither the organisers, officials, marshals, land owners or fellow participants, nor any person associated with the event may be held liable for any loss, damage or injury to me or my party that may occur during or in connection with the event;
- Data Protection Act. Details from this booking will be stored and may be used to contact all riders on the booking, regarding the event in the future.
Terms & Conditions of Participation
I / My Family (hereby referred to as “I”) hereby agree to participate in this event under strict adherence to the terms set out below.
I agree that:
- All minors must be accompanied by their responsible adult during their ride. The safety of any child is the sole responsibility of their responsible adult who must not allow the child to cycle so far in front or fall so far behind, as to lose oversight of the child’s safety. The 25 and 35 mile rides are not open to minors;
- Neither the organisers, their agents, officials, helpers, land owners, sponsors, nor fellow competitors shall be liable in any way or in any circumstances for any damage or injury that may be suffered or caused either before, during, or after participating in the event;
- Participants should be in good health and participate in this event entirely at their own risk;
- Participants must wear a CE approved hard shell helmet at all times and be suitably prepared for the prevailing weather. No Helmet, No Ride, No Exceptions!
- Participants must not indulge in any actions which may endanger themselves or other participants, spectators, event officials, or members of the public;
- Participants are requested to respect the countryside, some of which is private land used with the kind permission of local landowners;
- Participants should rely on their own ability to deal with all trail hazards and ensure their bike is in good working order at the time of the event;
- The Uptonogood is a non-competitive event and participants are required to be courteous when overtaking. Should a participant witness an accident or breakdown, it is incumbent on them to offer support if needed or report the incident to the nearest marshal;
- Participant finishing times/places will not be published in accordance with Police advice;
- When cycling on a road, participants must abide by The Highway Code and should not cycle more than two abreast;
- Participants are not permitted to have their own ‘personal’ support vehicle;
- Participants must register on the morning of the event no later than 30 minutes before their ride start time, in order to receive their entry number;
- Participants must sign out on their return to Upton. If not returning to Upton for any reason a phone call is required to notify the organisers of the participants retirement from the event;
- By entering this event you agree that photographs or videos taken of you and/or your family by our approved photographers can be published for sale on the photographer’s website and may be used for promotional purposes by the event organisers;
- Personal accident insurance and/or third party liability insurance is NOT provided by the organizers. It is incumbent upon participants to provide their own insurance, such as that provided by British Cycling or the Cyclists’ Touring Club.
